A walk or bike ride along the wide sandy beach from the access point at Sol­ned­gangs­plad­sen to Løkken is highly recom­men­ded.

Enjoy a cold beer at FIS­HER­MANS REST, just to the right of Sol­ned­gangs­plad­sen. They probably have one of Denmark's best-stocked draft beer se­lections, with more than 10 beers on tap. There are also regular live music events, and the simple sur­ro­un­dings always have a cosy at­mosp­he­re.

Maarager Gårdbutik is also well worth a visit and is within cycling distance of the holiday home. Its freezer is filled with delicious organic cuts of meat from animals that have lived a good life in the beautiful co­un­trysi­de. You can also find various juices and jams.

Løkken has some lovely re­stau­rants and shops selling art and local produce, including LÆKKERIET at Nørregade 21.

Su­per­Brugs­en has recently been named the best su­per­mar­ket in Jutland and offers a very wide selection of quality food as well as a large non-food section.

Otherwise, take a leisurely stroll through town, ex­pe­ri­en­ce the friendly and welcoming North Jutland spirit, share a smile with the locals and support the small local bu­si­nes­ses.

If you enjoy flea-market finds and retro items, the retro shop in Børglum is also worth a visit. The owner is always happy to share a story, the prices are rea­so­nab­le, and there is always room for a little ne­go­ti­a­tion.

You should also make time for a trip to Lønstrup, a town where beautiful arts and crafts are made and sold. On the way there, be sure to visit Rubjerg Knude Ligh­t­hou­se. The ever-moving sand con­stant­ly changes the fa­sci­nat­ing landscape sur­ro­un­ding the ligh­t­hou­se.
